Weekend Recap

Thanks everyone for your sweet words regarding the house purchase! We are so blessed to have this house as ours, and we are SO excited to move soon!  

Aside from waiting for the house decision, this weekend was jam packed!  Friday afternoon, M, Cayne, and I left work a little early and headed out to Garden City, Kansas.  M was meeting some friends from TN (who he used to work with, and some of their friends) to go pheasant hunting, and I tagged along to visit one of my best friends, Emily, who is from GC. 

We got in on Friday night, and M dropped me off at Emily's parents' house, and he headed to meet the guys.  We're so grateful that Emily's family allowed M and his buddies to hunt on their land.  So, M spent the weekend catching up with his friends and enjoying opening weekend of pheasant season, while I enjoyed a little quality girl time with Emily and her mom.  We ate at all the local hot spots and went to the chick flick, Morning Glory (which I thought was very cute).  We also spent lots of time hanging out and catching up.  It was really great to have some relaxing time together with nothing on the "agenda".  M and those had a great time too, and Cayne even did pretty well retrieving the birds!  

It was a really late night on Friday, as we rolled into KC at 11:30, but it was all worth it!  We had a great time with amazing friends, and we hope this weekend might become an annual tradition (and next time, I'll take some pictures)!
