A Weekend of Friends

This New Year's Eve weekend we were lucky enough to have a house full of friends. On Thursday night, Matt's best friend, Jordan, came from Kansas to visit. We had a pretty low key night of Mexican food and then went to hang out at our neighbors', Sam and Bubba's house. I'll admit, it was a very tame night; we barely made it to midnight.
New Year's day was pretty exciting for us bec
ause we went truck shopping. We've been planning to get Matt a truck for a while(he currently has a company vehicle), and we finally found a great one! It's a tan F-150 and he's super excited about it. I'm just glad there's no more truck shopping... on to boats or whatever other dream toy he comes up with now. :)

Also on Friday, one of my best friends from childhood, Lindsay, flew in for the Liberty Bowl, where her college (East Carolina) was playing against Arkansas. We had a great time hanging out, tailgating with her ECU friends, and freezing our bums off at the game. Due to the super chilly temperatures, Lindsay and I decided to head down to Beale street after half time to start the party early. Coincidentally enough, another one of our childhood friends, Toler, and his army friend, Jason, were passing through Memphis for an army training. Luckily for us, they were spending the night here and got to go out with us for dinner and drinks.

The fun continued after dinner when Matt, Jordan, Sam, and Bubba met us on Beale for a night on the town. It was so great to have both old friends and new for a fun night out together. We had a great time and were so grateful to have both Jordan and Lindsay in town for the weekend. Thanks for coming, guys!
